Oman: The Maldives of Arabia

The day begins with a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque , an extraordinary architectural masterpiece and a symbol of Omani spirituality, famous for its refined marble, crystal chandeliers and magnificent handmade Persian carpet.

We will then continue with a photo stop at the Royal Opera House , an elegant building that encompasses the cultural heart of Oman and reflects the fusion of modernity and tradition.

The tour continues with a stroll through the lively Muttrah Souq , one of the oldest markets in the Arab world, where the scents of incense, spices, fabrics and jewellery fill the air with colour and charm.

Next, visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum , which houses a rich collection of historical objects, ancient weapons, costumes and artifacts that tell the traditions of the Sultanate.

A stop will not be missed at the iconic Al Alam Palace , the Sultan's ceremonial residence, framed by the Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali.

🍽️ Breakfast. The day begins with an immersion in the spectacular nature of Wadi Bani Khalid , one of Oman's most famous and evocative oases. Among lush palm trees and imposing rock faces, you will discover a postcard-perfect landscape: natural pools of crystal-clear, refreshing water invite you to a regenerating swim or a stroll along the paths that border the wadi.

After this relaxing moment in a corner of natural paradise, the journey continues to the Wahiba Sands desert , where golden dunes stretch as far as the eye can see. A unique experience awaits you, with thrilling dune hikes, the enchanting desert sunset, and a welcoming encounter with a Bedouin family over an Omani coffee.

🍽️ Breakfast at the camp. At dawn, you'll experience one of the most exciting moments of the trip: the sun rising over the desert dunes, painting the endless horizon red and gold. After this natural spectacle, the morning will be dedicated to an adventurous crossing of the dunes of Wahiba Sands , reaching Wadi Murer , an ancient riverbed now transformed into a silent oasis with pools of water and patches of vegetation that contrast with the arid landscape.

The journey continues towards the spectacular Big Dunes , the highest and most majestic in the desert, a wild and remote place that offers breathtaking views and a sense of absolute freedom. After leaving the desert behind, you arrive at Mahout , where the landscape changes completely: from golden sands to the intense blue of the ocean. Here you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, before enjoying an evocative experience with a bonfire on the beach , amidst the dancing flames and the starry sky.

The day ends with the arrival at the fascinating Sugar Dunes , a unique place where the white dunes reach right up to the sea, creating a dreamlike landscape, suspended between desert and ocean.

🍽️ Breakfast. The day begins with a scenic walk through the Sugur Dunes , a unique desert characterized by white sand that meets the blue sea, creating scenes of rare beauty. Next, we'll move to the Filim area , where you can observe flamingos in their natural habitat, a surprising encounter between desert and wildlife.

The journey continues to Bar Hilman , known as “paradise on earth”, an enchanting place where we will stop for lunch surrounded by unforgettable views.

In the afternoon, we'll arrive at the picturesque fishing village of Al Akhkhara , where life still follows ancient, traditional rhythms. From here, we'll travel to the spectacular cliffs of Ras Khabbah to admire a breathtaking sunset with the sea crashing against the towering cliffs.

In the evening, settle into your hotel in Al Asala for a relaxing moment. After dinner, you'll enjoy an exciting experience: a nighttime excursion to the turtle reserve , where you can observe these magnificent animals up close during their egg-laying season, one of Oman's most fascinating natural spectacles.

🍽️ Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Sur , a charming coastal town that keeps Oman's maritime tradition alive. Once an important trading port, Sur is today renowned for its traditional shipyards , where the famous dhows , the wooden boats that have plied the Indian Ocean for centuries, are still handcrafted . Visiting the Dhow Factory is like taking a true journey back in time, admiring the craftsmanship of the craftsmen and absorbing the authentic atmosphere of an ancient seafaring civilization.

🌊 After the visit, continue to Fins Beach , also known as the " White Beach " for its white sand and turquoise waters. Free time to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the tranquility and intense colors of the Omani coast.

🏞️ In the afternoon, we continue our journey to Wadi Tiwi , a green and fertile valley winding between high rock walls and villages suspended in time. The landscape alternates cultivated terraces, palm groves, and small streams, creating a natural oasis of rare beauty.

The day begins with an early departure at 7:40 am from your hotel in Muscat, where a local driver in a 4x4 will take you to Marina Al Mouj. 

You arrive at 8:15 am, just in time to prepare for a memorable excursion to the Dimaniyat Islands. 

Before 8:30 am , you embark on a half-day boat adventure.

From the moment you arrive, you will be amazed by the natural beauty of this archipelago made up of nine protected islands, often called "the jewels of Oman".

Your adventure begins with a snorkeling session in crystal-clear waters , ideal for exploring the richness of the coral reefs.
