This activity allows you to discover the village from another angle, to walk alongside date palm plantations and to observe local life in a peaceful and authentic atmosphere.

This interactive museum offers demonstrations of traditional crafts , the making of Omani bread , and the preparation of Omani coffee , a true local institution. In the afternoon, we'll head to the village of Misfat Al Abriyeen , perched on a mountainside. This picturesque village is famous for its traditional stone houses, agricultural terraces, and irrigation canals (falaj), which demonstrate the ingenious water management practices in this arid region. You'll have the opportunity to stroll through its quiet alleyways , admire the surrounding landscape, and enjoy the peace and beauty of the mountains.

The day begins very early, at 6:30 am , with an immersion in the Nizwa livestock market , an emblematic place where breeders and buyers mingle in a typically Omani atmosphere. 

You will witness an authentic and vibrant scene of local life, a unique cultural experience that reveals the rhythm and ancestral traditions of the region.

We will then continue with a visit to the majestic Nizwa Fort , a symbol of Oman's power and architectural genius. Wandering through its history-laden halls, you will be transported to the Sultanate's glorious past, while enjoying panoramic views from its towers of the city and surrounding mountains.

Right next door, the famous Nizwa souk invites you to discover the authentic colors, scents, and flavors of Oman. This bustling market is the perfect place to explore rare spices, local handicrafts, and take home a unique souvenir.  

The adventure continues with a visit to the magnificent Jibreen Castle , a masterpiece of Omani architecture. Each room reveals ornate ceilings, refined details, and a fascinating history.  

We will conclude our visits with the Bahla Fort , a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic site, with its imposing walls and millennia-old history, testifies to the strategic and defensive importance of the region throughout the centuries.

Your day begins with the discovery of the historic village of Birkat Al Mouz , a place where heritage, nature, and traditions intertwine. There, you will admire the remains of ancient stone quarters as well as a vast, verdant palm grove stretching as far as the eye can see, offering a striking contrast between the ruins steeped in history and the lush vegetation. Every alleyway, every wall here tells a story of the past, inviting you to an authentic immersion in the Omani soul.

You will then reach the mountainous region, accompanied by your guide , a true connoisseur of the trails, the seasons and the traditions. 

For about 3 hours , he will take you on a gentle hike linking several high-altitude villages, preserved and still inhabited.

Option 1: 🐬 Dolphin Watching & Snorkeling — Sea Excursion

Your excursion begins with a boat trip from the marina, heading towards the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Oman. From the moment you board, you will have a good chance of spotting dolphins in the wild , often in groups, swimming close to the boat — a sight that is both moving and fascinating.

After this encounter with marine life, the boat will head towards a quiet cove or a pristine reef for a snorkeling session . Equipped with masks and snorkels (provided), you will be able to observe:
