Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Salalah

Upon arrival at Salalah International Airport, you will be required to obtain an entry visa. Afterwards you will collect your luggage. Passing through customs and collecting luggage are quick and easy formalities. Afterwards, you will be greeted by our representative.

 

Day 02: From the incense oasis to the gates of the Empty Quarter

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure in the direction of Wadi Dawkah, an extraordinary place and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the famous incense trees grow, symbol of the Dhofar region and linked to Omani history and trade for centuries. A walk among these thousand-year-old trees allows you to immerse yourself in the scents and stories that have made incense one of the most precious commodities of the ancient world.

 

We then continue towards Marsuded, known as the entrance to the famous "Empty Quarter", the largest and most fascinating desert in the Arabian Peninsula. Along the way, the landscape gradually transforms, giving way to immense golden dunes that mark the beginning of an unforgettable adventure.

Arrival in the desert area and accommodation in  an equipped mobile campsite, where it will be possible to experience the magic of the desert under a starry sky, away from any form of light pollution. Dinner around the campfire and overnight stay in a tent in the absolute silence of the desert.

Day 03: Rub Al Khali Adventure

Breakfast and departure for the adventure in the heart of the Rub Al Khali, the famous "Empty Quarter", one of the largest and most fascinating deserts on the planet. Along the way, the landscape offers breathtaking scenery with golden sand dunes that seem to have no end.

 

Stop in Burkana for a leisurely picnic surrounded by the wild beauty of the desert. Here you will also have the opportunity, for those who wish, to cool off with a bath in the suggestive Zuffiro spring, a rare natural jewel in the heart of the desert.

 

Continue through imposing dunes and timeless silence until you reach the point chosen for the camp. Accommodation in an equipped mobile campsite, dinner under the stars and overnight stay in a tent in a magical and authentic atmosphere.

Day 04: In the heart of the empty quarter

Breakfast and continuation of the journey to discover the unique scenery of the Rub Al Khali, the largest and most mysterious desert in the Arabian Peninsula. The dunes, shaped by the wind, rise like golden waves creating a landscape without boundaries that leaves you breathless.

In the afternoon arrival at the Eco Souly Camp – Empty Quarter, an eco-sustainable camp immersed in the absolute silence of the desert. Here it will be possible to live an authentic experience, in close contact with nature, without sacrificing comfort and Omani hospitality. Dinner and overnight stay in the camp, under an unforgettable starry sky.

Day 05: From the highest dune to the banks of Fazayah

The group will be picked up at your hotel in Al Ain by an English-speaking guide from Miracle, along with a driver and a private bus. Depart for Oman, crossing the border and enjoying a scenic drive to Nizwa. En route, visit Jabrin Fort, famous for its decorated ceilings and stunning architecture. Afterwards, photo stop at the Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the  traditional souk, where you can find handicrafts, silver jewelry and ceramics. Continue to Nizwa for accommodation.

Between the waves of Fazayah and the geysers of Mughsail

The day begins with a visit to Nizwa Fort, famous for its imposing circular tower and fascinating history. Walk through the traditional souk, where you can find handicrafts, silver jewelry and ceramics. Continue to Al Hamra, one of the oldest villages in Oman, known for its well-preserved mud houses. Visit Bait Al Safa, a restored museum-dwelling that offers an authentic insight into Omani life. Then, transfer to Misfat Al Abriyeen, a picturesque mountain village with agricultural terraces. Finally, climb Jabal Shams, the highest mountain in Oman, to admire its spectacular views of the Grand Canyon of Arabia.

Day 07: Desert Adventure

Breakfast. Departure to the old town of Mirbat (famous horse market and superb fortress built in front of the sea), fishing village, famous for the production of dried sardines and its old and elegant houses (magnificent typical architecture of the region).

Continue to Wadi Derbat with the possibility of seeing the natural waterfalls enriched by the water reserves that are collected during the monsoon rainy period.  Continue to the commercial port of Samhuram, where we'll discover several manuscripts in Arabic and the remains of the Queen of Sheba's Palace.

Continue to Jabal Samhan, photo stop at the landscapes, return to the hotel overnight

Day 08: Muscat City Tour

Exploration of Muscat's main attractions, starting with the Grand Mosque of Sultan Qaboos, an Islamic architectural gem. Visit the vibrant Mutrah Souk, where you can find Omani perfumes, spices, and handicrafts. Stop at Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial residence of the Sultan, flanked by the Mirani and Jalali forts. Continue to the Bait Al Zubair Museum to learn more about Omani culture through artifacts, weapons, and traditional costumes. Finally, stop at the Royal Opera House of Muscat, an iconic architectural work of the city.

Enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise aboard a traditional Omani dhow. Take in the skyline of the city as the sun hides behind the mountains, tinting the sky in golden hues. Refreshments are offered on board as you sail along Muscat's beautiful coastline.

Day 08: Salalah City Tour

Breakfast, departure to discover the city of Salalah, the capital of Dhofar. The city is the second most important urban center in the country, with about 350 thousand inhabitants; historically, it was the homeland of incense and the starting point for caravans that, along the route of the same name, ventured across the entire Arabian peninsula to the ports of the Mediterranean. Visit the famous mosque of Salalah. continue for a tour of the Souq and visit the famous museum of the land of Luban (the land of incense). Lunch along the way.

Day 09: Dolphin watching and relaxation

Breakfast and departure for the marina, where you embark on an excursion of about 2 hours (shared) dedicated to the sighting of dolphins, which populate the waters of the Dhofar. An exciting experience in contact with nature, accompanied by the sea breeze and the evocative views of the Salalah coast.

 

Return and rest of the day dedicated to relaxation, with the possibility of enjoying the sea or the hotel services in complete tranquility.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Muscat International Airport for your departure flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Oman adventure.
